Hala Al Badia is a refined and typey grey mare. She has a short head, large dark eyes, small well shaped ears, good tail carriage, and is a powerful mover. Of note, Hala Al Badia has an especially strong pedigree.

Hala Al Badia's dam Hanaa Al Badia is perhaps the only Al Adeed Al Shaqab daughter bred outside of the Middle East with a dam line to Inshass of Egypt's Saqlawiah mare Anzar. The Al Adeed Al Shaqab / Anzar cross has been a good one, producing two extremely successful young show mares for Al Shaqab Stud of Qatar; Nouf Al Shaqab and Laian Al Shaqab. Remarks Joe Ferriss, respected historian and writer, "This line from Anzar originates in the Royal Inshass Stud, the result of a gift from King Ibn Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to King Farouk of Egypt, as a consequence of diplomatic visits to improve relations between the two countries. The gift was the fine grey mare Hind of the Saqlawi strain, the granddam of Anzar. Horses of this line are often very fine skinned and dry with a special elegance and beautiful facial expression." Hanaa Al Badia also carries two lines to Ansata Bint Bukra through Ansata Halim Shah on her sire’s side, and through Ansata El Naseri on her dam’s side. Hanaa's four great granddams are the noteworthy mares Ansata Rosetta, *Imperial Sayyah, *Bint Maisa El Saghira, and *Sharara. Hanaa descends in both her sire’s and her dam’s tail female line to Dr. Sayed Marei’s Albadeia Stud of Egypt, through the ABSB mares *Imperial Sayyah and *Sharara respectively.

Hala Al Badia's tall and elegant sire Kamal Ibn Adeed was a successful young show stallion in the United States. He was named the 2010 Egyptian Event Champion Yearling Futurity Colt, 2010 Egyptian Event Champion World Class Yearling Colt, and the 2012 Egyptian Event Champion World Class 3-year old Stallion. Kamal Ibn Adeed descends in his dam line to the famous EAO bred Saqlawiah Jedraniah mare *Subhaya, imported into the US in 1968 by Tom & Rhita McNair. Kamal Ibn Adeed has since been exported to Egypt.

Both Hala Al Badia's sire and dam are sired by the iconic Qatari stallion Al Adeed Al Shaqab, a Salon du Cheval World Champion Stallion, US Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion, and Qatari National Champion Stallion. Al Adeed Al Shaqab is bred and owned by the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

Additionally, Hala is maternal brother to the beautiful German breeding stallion Ghazal Al Badia, of Al Ilaf Stud in Hamburg.

Hala Al Badia is healthy and sound. She has been a good companion to our weanling foals, including to her younger maternal brother, after the tragic early death of their dam Hanaa Al Badia. Hanaa Al Badia died foaling only her second foal, leaving only one daughter, Hala, to carry forward her unique Anzar dam line.
