Safina has a short head, wide jowls, expressive dark eyes, good tail carriage, and a well balanced body. As a yearling, Safina Al Badia was a US Egyptian Event Top Ten Futurity Filly. In 2016, Safina was Champion Breeding Mare at the Sunflower I and Sunflower II Arabian Horse Shows. Additionally, Safina Al Badia is maternal sister to the 2009 US Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Mare & European Reserve Supreme Champion Mare, Ramses Minx.

Safina Al Badia's famous sire Al Adeed Al Shaqab is a Salon du Cheval World Champion Stallion, US Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion, and Qatari National Champion Stallion. Al Adeed Al Shaqab is bred and owned by the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

Safina Al Badia's dam, Ramses Effendi, was among the top producing Prince Ibn Shaikh daughters from the highly regarded Ramses herd of Plum Grove Farm. Ramses Effendi was a classic Egyptian mare with large expressive eyes, wide jowls, good tail carriage, and an especially kind disposition.

Safina's four great granddams are the notable mares Ansata Rosetta, *Imperial Sayyah, RDM Maar Hala, and *Ramses Sadaka (bred by the EAO).
